About The School

A Proud Tradition

Dwight D. Eisenhower Elementary School was dedicated on November 7, 1971. Named after our 34th president, Eisenhower's original design included an open floor plan and a unique educational philosophy with just two learning centers (primary and intermediate) and an instructional media center as the "heart" of the building. Co-teaching, independent study, and a wealth of activity-based learning centers highlighted Eisenhower's early days.

While the learning centers of the 70's have given way to more traditional classroom spaces, the child-centered approach remains. Eisenhower's staff is dedicated to providing an outstanding learning environment in which all children have the ability to reach their full potential. Eisenhower is a great place to learn because of the cooperative effort of its staff, students, and parents..."Exploring and Learning Together".
